Kensington Stables, located near the southwest corner of Brooklyn's beautiful Prospect Park, is New York City's friendliest, most accessible, and most affordable riding stable.
We offer a complete range of equestrian activities and services, including lessons, guided trail rides, and pony rides.
Kensington Stables is the only remaining stable on Prospect Park. The barn was built in 1930 as the last extention of the riding academy at 11 Ocean Parkway, 57 Caton Place (1917). The first extention was torn down to make the foot bridge over Ocean Parkway. The original riding academy closed in 1937 and is now a warehouse.
We also have exclusive use of The Shoe in Prospect Park for lessons, accessible via the Park's bridle path, which runs from Park Circle to the southwest corner of the Long Meadow.
Thanks for visiting our site, and we hope to see you at the
Stable soon!
